WCSN is again broadcasting world class track and field live for free. This time you can check out the Grand Prix meet in Rieti, Italy. Asafa Powell will be the man to watch as this is the location of his amazing back-to-back 100m races last year that culminated in him taking home what was a WR at the time (9.74). He's back in Rieti again for another stab at the world record. Following his Olympic dissapointment, Powel has produced a 9.84 in cold and rainy conditions, coming off an amazing personal record 9.72 second 100m in Lausanne and just today he pushed countryman Usain Bolt in the 100m in Brussels...coming up just 0.06 seconds back with a time of 9.83 running in to a -1.3 m/s headwind. Is he the greatest time trial specialist ever. It sure looks like it and he's even agreed that this might be the case. He's already stated that he wants to reclaim his world record.
