Phoenix told me about the fraid knots program and ropes 5 years ago. I bought three dozen last year and I find that the kids are far more likely to use the ropes on their own then if they used something home made. I use a combonation of AIS, and Tom’s guide that comes free with the rope kit.

Give Tom a call, he is a great guy.

Phoenix,

Why did you purchase custom ropes from him. Why the longer length? You said high school athletes should use the normal lengths but college athletes should think about a custom length. What gives?

Pool Shark!

Welcome to elite track. Although this is a track site, your knowledge in swimming and training can help us here in this forum. The reason I use longer ropes is that I worked with some tall athletes in basketball and I have some specific stretches that are not on the minimanual for fraid nots or AIS. They are upperbody stretches and adductor work and my manual will be available this summer since we need money for the following.

(1) One MRI - $1000.00 dollars.
(2) 10 days of massage - $800.00
(3) 4 hours of therapy with “someone” - $1,200.00
(4) Travel expenses for three weeks- $2,000.00

one olympic dream - priceless!

Phoenix,

Could you go over what stretches you do currently for the upper body? I would love to hear what you do with the fraid nots differently then Aaron Mattes and other experts. Also, could you incluse reps, holds, and placement of such stretch work?

Pool shark,

My first manual will be a self therapy guide. This should be available in June after my site it up June 6th. I will include all self stretch and massage techiques to maximize what you can do with a tiny budget and little scientific background. Buy a dozen, we need the help.
