If you're going to try and supplement your diet with glutamine, the best way is to use a high quality whey protein supplement. The good ones have relatively high levels of glutamine. A lot cheaper also.
jj,
i am using met rx right now. 30+ grams of protein and tastes great.
only 3 grams of Glutamine though. So i add 9 grams to that after my workout. And after lifting or before bed i take another 9. That is 21 grams daily. Not many protein supplements have over 5 grams.
KT: It's been awhile since I've been super hard-core with my nutrition, but I've had very good results with SportPharma Promax. It is a mix of carbos and protein, which provided a nice post-workout "meal". MetRx is also good, but can be pricey.
jj,
hows promax taste? maybee ill try that next time.
your absolutly right met rx costs $$$$$$ but i work at a vitamin store and i get 40% off and also people that return stuff we sometimes get to keep. So someone opened up a box of met rx packets and i i took about 15!! so i made out good this time. However 15 pakets will only last me 2 weeks. So let me know about that promax.
