Nice job JP getting 7th @ the state meet in the 100.  It might not have been as high as you wanted to place, but it should leave you sufficiently hungry to tear it up in the OAC for the next four years.  Nice going!

Bowerman considered himself a teacher more than a coach—the professor of the competitive response, but none of us that preceded him got it like Steve Prefontaine. Steve became the ultimate student—he redefined the word “competitor”. Bowerman and Prefontaine would become a collaborative effort that would turn Hayward Field into a magical place.

11.37 semifinals and 11.55 in the finals, times were extremely slow this year due to the 95 degree heat we had, 11.25 won it.

but yea I definitely wanted higher, I came in with the 5th fastest time and there was no doubt in my mind i could of gotten top 3, but hey, considering I am the first kid in my school’s history to be up on the podium for the 100m dash and only the fourth kid both boys and girls to do it ever at my school, I’d say I came out of columbus with success.

It was great overall and i loved every minute of it, now to get ready for the college scene, the BW coaches are expecting great things out of me next year so I am going to have a lot riding on my shoulders next year, but i tihkn i can handle it:P

Enough with the slowness. Let's drop some bombs.

I stress that  the road to the top is a long one that takes years to realize.  You must know that 1, 2 or even 20 failures must not stop you.
