Making The Team

This is my journal on my way to college try outs at Florida State.
My goal is just to get in shape and be ready for tryouts come January.So here we go!!

My goal is build short speed yet to become more of a combination sprinter…I want to have fun doing alot of things when I get to college..

July 24th,06
20 minute jog stretch out.

July 25th,06
Weights Legs
Cleans
Squats
Lunge Step Ups
RDL's
Hypers
GH'S
Reverse Hypers
Hip Flexor with bands.

Right after I have
10x10m Accelerations.
They were really bad considering I just finished lifting. I am still stumbling a bit but I feel explosive in my driving..

Tommorow I will do a tempo work out. I dont know what yet…Im thinking 10x100x 200….but I will take suggestions or Ideas.Thanx alot!

what is 10x100x100??  way ur doing acc work after that much lower body training i could see if you were doing pc,bsq,bp 4-6setsx2-5reps at 80-95%?

too much jogging i believe , you should do more tempo sprints in place

Im sorry I mean
10x100x2 im sorry.

The jogging something I got used to when I was in school.It is something followed me. Especially when you have to run at 11:30 at night.What track has lights. Its a comfort thing.Different strokes for different folks. And I had to squeeze my accelerations in after my weights because I had to work. You gotta run when you can.

No about having the answers…Life fits in the way too. I dont have all the time in the world because life gets in the way. Im not trying to be rude,some people dont have track access or work full time jobs and have other things going on.

July 25th
Weights:
Push press
bench press
shoulder press
pull ups
dips
seated row
bicep curls(i absolutely hate these)
tricep extentions.

Track:10x120 Walkin back rest.

Tommorow is a speed day. I know I will do flying 30's for sure. Just no sure in what sequence and what else will go into the work out. I am a little sore,but over all I am ok. Work out was the first tru track workout I had in a while so it was brutal..But they will get better.they have too…
