our hs athletes have participated in some gpp (2-10 weeks) and are about to enter some specific jump training. i am most concerned about our hj/tjer's. i would like to go MWF jumps and TR recovery (pool, bike, ex tempo, etc). however, we do not have enough coaches to do that. these jumpers are 100-400 people as well. here is the alternative plan…
M-TJ tech work and upper weights and abs
T-HJ approach work and a couple jumps (2-4), lower weights, MB throws
W-recovery
R-TJ and HJ (similar as M and T) and lower weights and MB throws and 2-4 Baylor 150's (50 easy, 50 medium, 50 hard)
F-recovery
my concern is going high intensity (low volume) two days in a row. is it too much too soon. thoughts?
