myworkout program for long jump any advice?

im 18 i run track for a D2 school. and i made a workout program its a 5x5. because i would like to get stronger and faster. im 6'0 153. and my best long jump last in highschool was 21'2, i would like to jump around 22'5 this year. any advice would help. do you guys think i should do push ups as well. right know im taking creatin monohydrate, green tea pills, barley wheat grass powder, fish oils, whey protein, and a everymans one daily ( multi vitamin). i may add that. i will be runnign everyday and doing plyometrics a lot. what do you guys think? thanks for your time

Dumbell shoulder press 5x5

Triceps rope push down 3x8
Abs 3 x 15 of heavy weight
Tuesday
squat 5x5
Power clean 5x5
Shoulder shrugs 3x8

Well, for someone at your level. I would completely cut out alot of that and just do specific things you need to do. I wouldnt worry about periodizing as such just focuz of improving your long jumping skills.

jump once a week in practice from varying steps, working on different things (height, leg stiffness at take off, landing etc) pick one or two and focuz on it. Do acceleration work out top speed work twice a week. Do a bounding session, and one plyo session a week. Keep in double foot for height and distance.

and weights, keep 4-5 main lifts, squats, cleans, step ups, bench, jump squats. Do a max strength session, general strength session and power session over a week. In 6-8 weeks, im sure you will improve you mark alot.

You can work the others but in a circuit fashion of low intensity, once or twice a week.
