What kind of scholarships with a d 1 school could he expect should be a consideration as well. I would like there could be a little bit at a decent d 1 college, 7.40 seems like a decent mark in high school, but then i'm only a multi.

I've wished for skill, speed, and strength every year for Christmas, every year ... I cry cause it never comes.

Find a coach who has a history of developing athletes of your level into top performers.  It is a fairly straight forward process.

You might want to look at Stanford. Edrick Floreal, the Canadian LJ(8.20)/TJ(17.29) record holder is the coach down there. There's at least 2 athletes from BC there, I believe.

I don't follow NCAA very closely, so if anyone has any insight into that help this guy out.

Nathan Taylor at Cornell is a great jumps coach.  Cornell may have a different “atmosphere” than say Stanford, LSU, etc. but the results are still good (and closer to Canada).  Here is a link to their media guide.

I’ll got that same feeling seeing him at meets especially with the triple jump.  I didn’t get a chance to talk to the guy yet (wanted to but missed the chance) but from observation of him at the pit during meets he seems like a great guy (good relationship with all athletes) and he appears very knowledgeable.  I say this based on his interaction with the athletes and the fact that his guys were all jumping at PR level which included some circa and supra 50’ jumps.  That plus the fact that I actually know who he is because I was very impressed with Cornell jumpers in the past so I actually made it a point to find out who coaches them.

Lewis almost certainly has his hands on a 3rd consecutive gold medal…Powell good sprinting speed….oh that is huge!

How about a school like Portland State, or Cal Northridge
