just wondering, when people post numbers usually the number one thing they post is how much they squat, im just wondering why, the squat mainly works that quads and secondly hamstrings and glutes, but when running in the upright position you mainly use your hamstrings and glutes, soi why not post your numbers in exercises that primarily use your posterior chain like RDL,GH, GMs, etc?

I think it’s because no one really tests limit strength (other than some powerlifters) in those lifts (RDL, GM, etc) do to potential lumbar-thoracic injuries. If you squat deep, I think the hams and glutes are at least as important as the quads….especially coming out of the bottom position.
