HPC is putting together a world class clinic at the Track & Field Olympic Trials in Eugene on July 1, 2008. We are still in the process of finalizing the details but Dan Pfaff, Boo Schexnayder, and Larry Judge have already agreed to speak. See details here and pre-register today.
Sounds great. I’m so glad I only live an hour and a half away too. Why don’t you be one of the speakers Mike? I’m sure many coaches and athletes would want to listen, me being one of them.

I may be speaking as we have yet to finalize the schedule.
Will this clinic be taped and available to purchase for those not able to go? Thanks.
Yep. We’ll definitely be videotaping using a similar HQ format to what was used at or baseball clinics (see youtube for examples). We’re currently finalizing plans for the clinic. Some things are going to have to change (date, possibly location) due to some conflicts with our work with / for USATF.
Any finalization on date and videoing opportunities for this event? If you have mentioned it somewhere on ET, I apologize for not seeing it.
Thanks
I hadn’t posted anything yet as were in talks to be an addon clinic to the Super Clinic that they are putting on. This will necessitate us moving the clinic back one day. All other info should stay the same. I’ll post again when things are more definitive.
Looks like we’re staying on the same day and becoming a Level 3/4 ‘clinic-within-a-clinic’ at the USATF Olympic Trials Super Clinic. The best part is that it will be FREE to all attendees. All you have to do is have USATF membership and you can attend. If you don’t have USATF membership you can buy it at the door for $35. The Super Clinic will have 8 rooms. Seven of the rooms will provide Level 1/2 type information in 70 minute sessions. Each of those rooms will be dedicated to a specific event area. The HPC “Gold Medal” Room will be the eighth room and we will be featuring the above mentioned speakers along with myself and a couple others where we will be providing sessions with more in-depth discussion suitable for advanced coaches and athletes.
Update: Boo is out (due to Olympic staff duties) but Tellez is in.
The speaker lineup is now: Tom Tellez (2 talks- former coach of SMTC); Larry Judge (elite throws coach); Dave Kerin (HJ guru extraordinare); Will Wu (HPC skill acquisition specialist); Dan Pfaff; and me (conference slug).
Same day, same place, same cost and the overall clinic takes place at the same time but the sessions are 5 minutes shorter with 10 less minutes between them so we could fit all our sessions in. We’re essentially a clinic within a clinic. There will be 8 rooms. 7 of them will be event specific and ours will be a more generic Level 3/4 type room.
