Did 3 sets of push ups, sit ups, back raises, pull ups, and seated triceps pushdowns on the track field. It gave me a quite much pump!

Reps was about 15. And recovery 30 seconds.

So will GS give hypertrophy? It felt like that.

In my experience this has not been the case.

I tend to find:
*high load + low volume = minimal hypertrophy
*medium load + medium volume = maximal hypertrophy
*medium load + large volume = maximal hypertrophy
*low load + medium volume = minimal hypertrophy
*low load + low volume = minimal training effect

thank you mike I,
Understand. But the diffucult thing is to know if I am doing low or medium load!

push ups. did 15-20. I think at this moment maximum I can take is 30.
wouldnt that be considered medium load?

Also my reps on push ups was going down each set. like 20-15-12.
Doesnt this seem like medium load since I could take less reps?

Its not a big problem but I am just curious. Feels like i gain more muscles of this than strength training with medium/high loads with less than 5 reps.

*low load + low volume = minimal training effect

Funny smile I will try to avoid that.
