I recently integrated my twitter microblog on my elitetrack author page and I’ve found a good way to put it to use. I’m at a mid-week multi with my best decathlete at a meet in Princeton and I thought it would be a cool way to live blog what should be a nice competition. There are several NCAA qualifiers here and conditions are great. We’ve come with the explicit goal of breaking 7,000 points.

Princeton is my ideal place to do a decathlon, still have my day one PR there. Tell Fred and Steve I say hi. Good luck to your multi.

We just finished a couple hours ago. He went 6933. An NCAA provisional mark. The facility is ideal for multis and Fred is very multi-friendly (turning races and runways around when necessary). The field was good and the runways are very fast. Princeton is probably my favorite facility in the NE.

Are they gonna post the results anywhere? I wanted to check to see who attended this year. Also, congrats to your multi! When you planning on having him compete again?

I’m not sure if they ever posted results. Basically it was my guy + 3 Penn guys, 2 Princeton guys (both of whom got injured and dropped out), and 2 Rutgers guys. My guy competed this past weekend. Won the conference despite being kinda flat. He’s going to come back at IC4As though with the aim of going 7k+.

Yeah, I am not sure if they ever did when I competed there. I think my coach just took a copy of the results and would fax it where necessary. Nice to hear he got the conference win though. Good luck at IC4A’s, I hope he gets some favorable weather conditions.
