Mike, what can you tell us about Dallas Robinson.
I can accept him having a bad race, but the internet is full of speculation.
Can you clarify what is going on?

He didn´t change coaches nor training group, just training location.

I will likely comment soon. I don’t want to say anything prematurely as I am still finding out all details about what has been going on the past 6 weeks without me knowing.

I know this is a long time coming but I’ve been on the road a lot and was working some things out in regards to this matter. I am no longer working with Dallas and he is no longer being managed by HPC. Recent developments came to light (much of which was detailed on other forums on the web) which made continuing our relationship impossible. Among other things, drastic unprescribed changes were being made to the training plans I developed without consultation as far back as the first week of March. This had the potential to compromise both my and HPC’s credibility whether Dallas ran well or not.

Dallas is a good guy and we will continue to be friends however the recent developments made it very difficult to move forward together. I wish him the best in achieving his goals.

I’m with UT. In my position right now I’m not sure how I would have handled it, but I can assure you it wouldn’t have been this classy.

Right on. Who’s coaching Dallas now?

It pissed me off the guy lied and manipulated his story around what he had been doing instead of just coming clean which he still has not done. And I bet we can all be sure he didn’t pay the donations back. The ones he received from here/HPC which if he did not is extremely unprofessional. He comes across now as a full of shit self-absorbed type when you go back and read the “life” stories and “sacrifices” he made.

It is a shame he will end up wasting the talent he was given.

Yeah, his current coach got him up to a 10.48 after being ranked indoor. I wish him the best but leaving HPC and Mike will probably be his downfall.

In other news, I saw James Jenkins is now on the HPC elite team. He has some sick talent and was still raw in the triple, I will be eagerly checking the results on him. I watched him jump 52+ at Regionals last year and his technique was all over the place.

Yeah we added James and Babatunde Ridley about 6 weeks ago. Although James has had sucess in all three jumps, I’m having him focus on the triple jump. Tunde has been injured the past couple years but he’s going to be LJing and running the 100m for us.
