Which would be more efficient at making a high school athlete become, or prepare to become faster?

4x8 bench press
3x3 Power Clean/Deadlift
3x10 Barbell Rows
3x10 Weighted Lunges
3x12 Behind the Neck Press
1x15 V-ups w/Dumbbell
1x20 Weighted Decline Situps
1x12 Barbell Curls
1x12 Tricep Extensions


or


8-10 exercises 3x20 each?

Biggest No-No for 2008 Season:
Gained 22 pounds from January to February

Not training legs in that time period

8-10 exercises 3x20 each?

Neither look good, but doing 20 reps of anything is pretty useless. You have 12 sets for the upper body, 2 sets for core, and only 6 sets for lower body. Where are your squats? In your sig line is says the biggest No-No for 2008 was not training your legs…don’t repeat that mistake in 2009.

Ditto to previous three posts. The second choice looks like something a Curves “trainer” would come up with.
