Just a question but does the board see any possibility that by shutting it down at 75m, he held down the finish time for…
a.  saving more PR reductions for more paydays down the road ala Bubka’s minute nibbles at the PV WR back in the day?
b.  Not blowing away the WR to perhaps avoid greater questioning of the purity of the performance?

A- yes though it is a bit difficult to repeatedly shave .01 off of your 100m record smile
B- i don’t know about this one.  even if he is on drugs, he still destroyed all of the other drug athletes from the history of mankind.

What are your thoughts on Dara Torres?

Lewis almost certainly has his hands on a 3rd consecutive gold medal…Powell good sprinting speed….oh that is huge!

What are your thoughts on Dara Torres?

She’s a pretty hot 40 something!

She’s got $$$$ from somewhere to float that big a support group

She may be on to something that her sport has yet to leverage?

Carl V. may be able to shed light on the value of her training at altitude.

Similar to Mike Young’s comments on M. Phelps, its easier to standout as a physical exception in swimming than in the 100m dash.
Not many 41 year old men get faster wearing the spikes…

Tag, youre it:
What worth do you give her “blood & urine samples for future testing” pro-active defense?

Yea she’s hot.  She’d be hotter without kids.  I think she’s on something…fungus soup, turtle blood, who knows.  I give little worth to participation in the magic new anti-doping protocols for some reason (just a hunch).  I plan to hire her so I can peak at 41 running 10.70 and winning gold in the local open track meet.

These comments are totally unsubstantiated, just my ponderings.  Maybe the teenager she lost to is on huge doses of anadrol.  Who knows?  Michael Phelps has ADHD, does he get adderall or ritalin for that?

The war against drugs is a losing battle.  Google Nancy Regan & General Barry McCaffery.

Drugs and “Amateurism” have similarly interesting history in sport.
I offer that the former has a similar future to the latter…

Oh yeah,

Hows about some of our non-US friends opinions on how years in NCAA comp hurt to my count 5 of the 8 in the men’s 100 final…

“You’re just shooting your mouth off with the usual American bull.“

Cant say I’ve ever tasted Aussie steak:

...Australian track star Tamsyn Lewis has come to China expecting to race against drug cheats.

“I have no doubts that when I line up next week, I will look left and right and know the other girls aren’t all clean,‘’ she said last week.

Or is it just the guys that are all clean?

Tae Bo?

She was a freak at 14 and had an eating disorder during the prime of her career. She frankly is a freak of nature and is in great shape. Swimming isn’t as bad on your body as track so it’s no big deal.

Reminds me of a great (cough, cough) article I read
