1 Where are you?
Norway
2 What is your educational background in the sports sciences, if any?
I dunno what its called [I]spesifically], but I am studying sport science at High School
3 Are you an athlete, coach, or other?
Athlete, yup..
4 What sports do you compete/coach?
Sprints, babe. My coaches change from time to time
5. How long have you been training?
Since I was able to walk, hehe. I started with cross country-skiing and soccer. I started training martial arts at 9 and maintaining that while I also did middle- and longdistance running. In the winter I would/will sometimes do some downhill skiing (slalom and such). I have also considered bodybuilding, but I will wait doing that until I am older if I dont become a sprinting track champ (which I will :D )
failed to complete BS requirements for Exercise Science and Physiology Dual Majors. Decided computer market was too lucrative to pass up on in 1998 and changed my mind 5 years later. 7 years later I am re-entering school.
Athlete, Coach, Researcher, and Nut case
I still compete in open meets in distances from 100 to 800. I decided to give up jumps except for indoor pentathlon if I could ever find one, I run the occasional road, trail races, some euro-style XC stuff. I also play basketball, soccer, beach volleyball, softball, and sandlot football whenever I get the chance.
I have been training since I was ten years old when I won 200, 400, 800, and 1600 runs in one summer meet. I ran a 5k a year later by training the only way I then knew how, I ran a mile hard one day and added a quarter mile each day running as hard as I could till I got to 3.5 miles. This took 3 weeks and went out and ran the 5k in 19:47 at 11 years old. Taking 3rd place age division 19 and under and 25th overall. Then I procede to take a slackers lifestyle until I went to the USMC. There I rededicated myself to running and started turning sub 16’s in 5k and sub 33’s in 10ks and the rest is unknown history.

No formal education in running/physiology/kinesiology. Just what I pick up on places like this, an occasional medical or science journal, stuff like that. Good news is that I almost never forget something I read.
Right now, doing my degree in International Relations. Thinking about switching to kinesiology just because being a track coach would be awesome. Might just take some USATF stuff instead though. Will figure that out when the time comes.
Athlete at college, coach when I'm back near my highschool for more then a few days at a time.
I've played every sport known to man I think…including Basketball, Baseball, soccer, football, rugby, cricket, volleyball, Tennis, track (from 100m to 800m), martial arts, and thats all that comes to mind right now.
Training. Hah. I didn't do any of that before college. Closest I came was daily plyos in highschool. Didn't really train that much my freshman year of college either, because I was constantly injured. Think my longest streak of being uninjured was like 7 weeks throughout the year. Was a horrible year for me. Actually plannin to train hard this year, and to not get hurt (Screw you, stairs!)
