Well, as the title says, I’m fairly new to the wonerful world of hurdling. My coach says that I may have optential for this event and started me up with doing the 100m hurdle(midget) race. I was wondering what I can expect to get for times with 3/4 of a month of hard training and with a base 100m time of 11.9 ish area.
I’m hopiong to go far with this event.

It depends on how well you go over the hurdles.  If you don’t have good form and are jumping over the hurdles rather than running through them, you’re time isn’t going to be so good.  If you have decent form and you run through and attack the hurdles, your time is going to be better.  When you do the hurdles, just remember to focus on sprinting and not on going over the hurdles.  There really is no way to tell ahead of time what your time is going to be though.

I am a beginning decathlete. And I have just started working with hurdles for the first time, seriously. I did use them to jump over when I practiced for long jump it seemed to work ok. Now just running through them dosen't seem so hard, until you put it to College level height then it gets tuff. I just need help with the foot work and the timeing. The bad news is I only have access to one hurdle, ya…my old high school coach said if I find two more I can do come descent workouts with them.
