Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I was looking over the "Complete Book of Jumps" by Jacoby and Fraley and the way they prescribe work confuses me. For example, it says something like "7-8 (Speed bounding-power bounding) to 80 x 4 each leg." Does this mean 4 x 80m bounds?

yes.
i dont like the book very much.
the training they prescribe seems rdiculous.
however the technical stuff is awesome and i made sure i photocopied everything from it.

Yeah, looking over the training it seems kind of ridiculous to do multiple sets of 80m bounding for a TJer. But for the technical aspects, it seems good. I can get training advice right here!

I don't think I'd ever have an athlete bound for more than 50m and if I did that (bound for 50m) it would only be for more advanced athletes.
