Caveman-
Yes, that was me. Who do you run for? I'd look at the results but I'm too lazy. Nice pr. Ill be be back there next week so give me a holla.

Edit: I just saw Lowell on the Bottom of your sig. Are you the dude with the crazy hair? If so I saw you run. You got some fast whitedudes over at Lowell.

How did we all do this weekend?

I ran a PR in the 200 22.48 and a season best in the 60 7.17.
Meet was "Velocity Sports Sprint Meet" which was after the collegiate invite. at the armroy.

I've had a pretty crappy start to the season so far. I can't shake the injuries and it's starting to piss me off.

22.97-200
4x2 went 1:32.70

We don't have a meet this weekend, so hopefully I can use the rest to get a little healed.

How'd we all do the weekend of Feb 10th?

I ran at Boston 22.54 lane 6 with no blocks

Saw a few other elitetrack peoples up there…..

UkJumper jumped 7.4x and won LJ…
Caveman split something crazy like 47.7 on leadoff for his teams relay which went 3:10!

I ran an impromptu 7.40 with no warmup.  If I had a warmup I would've probably went 6.85

Lewis almost certainly has his hands on a 3rd consecutive gold medal…Powell good sprinting speed….oh that is huge!

Nothing very exciting here… I am consistently triple jumping 36 feet (I should be a foot further at least, on average)... high jump went a little better, went 1.62 (5' 3 3/4") and just barely missed qualifying at 1.67 (5' 5 3/4"), we will be back to the same facility in 2 weeks for conference where I will hopefully start pulling out some better jumps… which is especially important against those la crosse girls…

Boston was a mini-ET get-together with no less than 4 prominent ET members there…maybe more.

One of the better moments of the meet was when Jay (Quikazhell) who runs for 'Quikazhell Track Club' was leading his heat of the 200m and the announcer said:

And this is Jay Manekoff on the outside from Quik….

It was sooo obvious that he realized mid-sentence what he was about to say (hell) and thought it might be inappropriate.

haha Mike i heard that too when the announcer said that about Jay- who ran real good btw with no blocks and out of the top lane

our relay ran 3:10.73, we broke our school record by by 1.6 seconds.. i was soo pumped, ive never been apart of a relay but its 10x more exciting and satisying than just running a open. We all ran really well, i split a 46.9, our second guy split 47.4, third guy 48.8, and the last leg 47.3.

Yo Jay, good time man, especially with no blocks.  You'd smoke me right now for sure.  I'm afraid to even run a deuce right now and see a slow arse time.  I used to love that BU meet.  Did you catch Dobson's race(Plattsburg)?  He broke the SUNYAC indoor record by 3 hundreths of a second (48.91 in the 400).  mad

Hahaha. I didn't even realize he said that. I'll have to go back and listen to the video.

I didn't see Dobson's race but I saw their 4x4 go 3:18 and him split a 48. Also Theiss from Oneonta is rolling!! 22.24 and 49.12.

Wow.  They'll probably go to nationals with a 3:18.  Yeah, Eric has been sick, my records are toast.  I wish we had him my senior year.  Did you run anything besides the 200?

Yea. 55 in a shitty 6.74. Same thing I ran there 2 weeks ago. And .02 faster than last year at that meet. My season best is a 7.17 60. Unless my knees are 100% next year enabling me to start jumping again I am debating moving up to the 400.

I actually didn't much like running the 5 on that track.  Not sure why, but I ran much slower than I did the week prior (Colgate I believe) and the week after (Sunyacs).  Good luck with the knees.

Also, I just read the O-State write up, and Thesis also split 48.3 in the DMR.  Him and Dobson at Sunyacs is going to be a sick race.
