LJ: 5.35, missed provo by .06 meters (2 1/4")... (17' 6 3/4")
HJ: 1.66, might make nats, tied for 6th on the list right now (5' 5 1/4")
4x400 split, 59.25, should put me on the A team which has auto-ed for nats w/ 3:53 and one girl at a 61…

For me it was a good meet, especially since I'm sick with what feels like pneumonia. Hopefully I can get on antibiotics and really do something at conference next week… great seeing ya scoots..

Yea. If I can get in.

Cool.  If you do I'll see you there.  I'm not running, but I'll be there to watch.

What's the fastest you've run in training 60m or below recently?

Lewis almost certainly has his hands on a 3rd consecutive gold medal…Powell good sprinting speed….oh that is huge!

In training I haven't ran under 80 meters and haven't ran faster than 92% in the last 8 weeks. I timed a few of my 80's last week in the 9.7-10.0 range (indoors off the curve) and beside that the fastest I have ran reps. has been 17.5-18.5 sec. 150 pace (during a split rep workout with short rest) and around 38 for 300's, 31-33 for 250's just to give you an idea. All my work falls into the 85-95 percentile. I have done no blocks starts, do not do any lower body lifting, no plyos, all intensive tempo and sub max speed endurance with a bit of too fast extensive tempo (30 sec 200's) on my recovery days.

Well, I'm finally starting to run decently.

6.54 in the 55
22.69 in the deuce, unbanked and shaped like a paper clip smile

Felt pretty good in the 200, but the guys in my heat we over a half second back so after I hit the last turn I was by myself.

We had conference this weekend. I did okay, but wanted to do excellent, not just okay. High jump and long jump were first, at the same time, and I messed up my ankle kind of… bruised and swollen for day 2, but not sprained or anything…

HJ: 1.67 (5' 5 3/4")
LJ: 5.25 (17' 4")—> pretty disappointing
TJ: 11.16 (36' 6ish")—> also pretty disappointing

I just felt like I should be peaking a little better by now. Not sure if I'll compete at last chance next week or not with the ankle, but the high jump will go to nats most likely, so I'll probably recover instead of trying to qualify for indoor tj…

had conference on the weekend

developed the 24 hour flu just before we left on the bus to conf. (my birthday too ..haha)
but i was more than ready to jump so no excuses

got a legal jump of 6.90 on my first jump (dragged my left too early on it).. took a couple bad jumps around the same area.
in the finals i fouled all 3 attempts but a couple were pretty massive…in the finals i felt amazing on the runway, i just fouled my centimeters every time. (i finished 6th)

im in a boot now for a stress fracture sustained during the triple jump on the following day (prolly more to it than just that)...im out for 2 weeks indefinitely..

i think i should be able to get the regional mark this year as long as i can pick up where i left off at conference with good approaches and good wind…

on a plus side: our mens team finished with the highest total points in school history. no real help from me i guess

Not a bad LJ mark for getting the flu!

Just got back from conference.

55- 6.42
200-22.33

I finally feel like I'm running near my potential for the season and its possibly over. I'm currently tied for 11th in the 55.
