thats an awful feeling man, one of my good friends here at school was sitting one spot out and even tho he improved his time at a Last Chance meet, 3 other guys improved their times as well booting him out of nationals

Na. no awful feelings for 00scoots now.

Lewis almost certainly has his hands on a 3rd consecutive gold medal…Powell good sprinting speed….oh that is huge!

That happened to me in the 200 outdoor once.  I was going for the 100 anyway so I thought it was kinda stupid that they made the cut off where they did, but whatever.

Good luck in the 55 scoots

Well…...it was good and bad.

I ran a 6.42 in the prelims and made finals.

Then during finals I felt really weak and flat, and consequently ran really really slow and got 8th.

I don't care though. I am All American and I am happy as hell smile

Thanks man. Who is Mortac's guy?

I gotta say, the 55 was a blast even though I sucked it up in the finals. Now that I know what finals are like, I won't be surprised come outdoor.

Joe Reed ran a 10.72, so I lost another Ostate record(by a freaking hundredth), but I did a real sprint workout for the first time in I can't even remember.  So the week of the 14th was good and bad for me and I didn't even compete haha.

Where did you run?

My outdoor season has been crap so far, at least compared to how I opened up last year.

Last year I opened with a 10.91 and a 21.75 in the 1 and 2. This year 11.00, and a 22.20.

It's really damn annoying and feels like I'm missing a gear, but our workouts are a hell of alot harder than last year, so once we start to taper I'm sure it will drop.

Are you racing this weekend?  Why is there such a drop off from ur 55m time to 100m?

hahah damn dude, you revived this thread from last year. I had been working through some nagging injuries at that time and then my hip got messed up for a few months. This was last years thread.

As to why I used to have a huge drop off in the 100 compared to my 55, I used to run it at like 110% for the full race. I’ve learned to relax since then smile
