Was Rocky Balboa onto somethingwhen he was training in the meat locker? Current thinking would seem toindicate that he was ahead of his time. My friend Dean Benton,Performance Director for the Brisbane Broncos, said that if had his wayhe would have the team spend halftime in a refrigerator truck. When hefirst mentioned it I thought he had lost it. Since then I have comeacross this more and more. I

I thought that not so long ago their was an article about icebaths. If I remember correctly it said that icebaths aren't so good as some people think, it could even be harmfull.

I swear by ice baths!!! (and when i'm in them!): ) Seriously, I will get the ice bath under 50 if I can. I have always been told that it doesnt matter after about 60deg. but to me it helped.

I dont think the meat locker idea is so far fetched as some might think.

yeah the article was done on untrained college kids—probably came in hung over to get a couple bucks. not really comparable. I work in a research lab where the majority of people come in to get a few quick bucks and trust me it causes serious problems in research.
