I am a junior in high school that has his final year in school this september. i would like to know which school i would be able to get a scholarship on a time of 53.1 in the 400mhurdle, 48.9 in the 400m and 14.89 m in the triple jump. Also any one know what the LSU hurdles progrm like. Since they have so much success with Jamaican athletes like Isa Phillips and Nickiesh Wilson.
Also i have a few issues to be cleared up. My firslt 200m in the 400m hurdle is in a time of 25 secs and the last in 28 secs some time even 30secs. Iwould like to get the last part of my race to be atleast a 26 secs. Also my next favourite event the Triple jump I am gettin My hop and step reaching 10m and my final jump phase is just 4m. I am starting to do more one legged squat and one legged hop.
Any other help? For these events.

I'd say you won't get much money for track, those are decent marks but unless you go to a Military Acedemy you aint getting a full ride anywhere, you could def get on most D1 teams easy enough though, damn football taken all the money.

You would probably make any team you tried out for but as Meat said scholarships for track would be kind of hard to come by… You could probably get some money at a Division 2 school or a smaller Division 1 school but nothing that would put much of a dent in how much college costs.

RE: LSU's hurdle program. It's the tweener event there. Sometimes the athletes train with the distance coach but most of the time they train with the sprints coach. I believe Isa is training with the distance coach and Wilson is training with the sprint coach. Overall, the hurdle program at LSU is among the best, if not the best, in collegiate history. They've produced Leroy Colquhoun, Debbie Paris, Bennie Brazell among others.

i think you could def. get money at a smaller D1 school, your already running close to a regional qualifying time.  I'm not saying full ride, but a school like mine where tuition is cheap makes college really easy to pay for.

Agreed. If you are going to run the 400IH, the 4x400 and do some other events, you could get a significant amount of money at a smaller school. Look for the smaller conference results and check out the winning times.

I go to Utah State…. im not saying that wouldn't get you a full scholarship, but those are hard to come by in track and field.  I had to start out as a walk now i have full tuition, and most men on the team start with less and then have to earn the full scholarship.  But i suggest you look around results of conference championship meets and then email the schools that you could place high in a championship meet for them.
