As of moday every time i workout sprints or weightlifting i get headaches that make it impossible to continue.  I Can feel the blood pumping in my head it almost feels like its gushing in my skull if that makes any sense.  THis only seems to happen when weights or sprint are involved i sparred yesterday with no pain and i have been able to do cardio with no pain but weights cause the headaches as quickly as the second set and they dont leave for hours.  Has anyone else experienced this, and should i just take it easy for a week or is this emergency room worthy.  any response is welcome

I used to and sometimes will get from lifting both squats and bench. It kinda comes and goes for me.  I would suggest making sure your breathing properly, hydrated, if you take any supplements trying dropping then to see what effects that might have.  The level of pain should tell you if you need to go see a doctor or not.  My headaches hurt but only lasted 2 or 3 minutes.

I've wished for skill, speed, and strength every year for Christmas, every year ... I cry cause it never comes.

Oddly enough I got a killer headache after a workout on Friday. When I get them they are almost always from squats or deadlifts using either maximal or near maximal loads for several reps.

Some people just seem to be prone to getting them. As Meat suggested, I'd be conscious of your breathing. For heavy lifting, inhale on the eccentric phase, valsalva maneuver early during the concentric, and slow exhale once you've past the sticking point.

Unfortunately, I'm still having mine....I can't even do pushups now. Never had it like this before.

Well i'd say take it easy i took fri and sat off and that worked wonders also i wouldn't bother with painkillers cuz they don's seem to help at all.  Good luck with them you know what they say things usually get worse before they get better it seems like u got the worse part right now
