This is basically my first year going in track not my first year speed training ive been speed training since the beginnning of my sophmore year in highschool till now im a junior in highschool now . but i did it wrong i overtarined alot i would do like 100 20 yard sprints a day so i didnt get much faster. So this is basically my first year sprinting. My 100 is a 12.3  Do you think i can bring my 100 down to a 10. 9 by the end of spring track season . Im in indoor track right now.

Keep track of your progress. If you are improving every week, then maybe it could happen, but that is a very large jump and will be very difficult. Let us know what you run next week and I think it'll be easier to say whether or not you are on your way to a 10.9/11.9/12.9.

Ya that is not an easy jump, but you never know. i ran 12.4 my jr year of high school and it took til my soph year of college to get down to a 10.85.  But, if you train right mid to low 11's are definitely attainable.  Hopefully your still developing physically because just getting older and my body maturing cause the biggest drops in my time rather than specific speed training.  Make sure you develop a good drive and transitional phase and sprint form because in my experience speed training will peak your maximal velocity, but good form and running the race correctly will make the biggest impact on your time.

if u ran that time in the 60 i would say maybe, cuz i went 7.19 in the sixty and went on to go 10.93w on two occasions later on that season. 10.90 is a pretty lofty goal compared to your current level

You should probably try to hit 11.7-11.9 first and then adjust your goals if/once you get there.

Wanting to do something isn't enough. You have a long way to go and you need to take it one step at a time. Get below 7 in the 55m and then make some goals. You really need to be in the 6.5x-6.6x range for 55m to have hopes of going sub 11 outdoors.

agreed set your goals high, but make them attainable and keep beating them until you can get that 10.9 in a couple years
