I figured we should have a new meet results thread for those of us still on the college circuit.

My first meet was great. We are still getting pounded in practice and I had no idea how fast I’d run, but I feel safe to say my offseason work is paying off smile

55-6.45 which is a PQ
200- 22.48

Our 4x2 was fun as hell also (we won), but I have no idea what the splits were.

How’s everyone elses season been so far?

What does getting pounded in practice consist of?  Feel free to be as vague as needed.

Lewis almost certainly has his hands on a 3rd consecutive gold medal...Powell good sprinting speed....oh that is huge!

The year is only 27 days old but this is my nomination for post of the year.

We do some killer start stuff where we line up in front of the weight circle. When the gun fires, they are free to throw the weight and we have to try to sprint out of the way. Not everyone makes it.

Actually, I just meant that we are doing more longer stuff right now which makes me feel like crap and I don’t feel fresh at all.

Random fact from the meet. Danny won the 55 with a 6.39. He’s rolling pretty fast for just starting his training again.

How many will be at BU Valentine Invite this weekend....it’s typically an ET get-together.

We are heading way up north, Northern Michigan to be exact.

I’m really not looking forward to the 6 1/2 hour bus ride.

Quik, Nick and me....anyone else gonna be at Boston?

I’ve been three years...competition really runs the gamut from great to bad but I kinda like the energy of the meet. It’s almost like a mini indoor version of the Penn Relays.

I lowered my provisional time this weekend down to a 6.41, which is also a PR, so hopefully that will take me to nattys. Last year a 6.42 took me there.

Great job but don’t sit on that.  Don’t be satisfied!

Haha, I’m not satisfied yet! My start felt too forced and not very smooth. I think my legs were still catching up from the 7 hour bus ride.

Quik- Hell yeah on that 200. Did you catch a good lane?

Yea. Lane 4 and good people to run with. My PR is 22.43 indoors and ran 22.54 in that same meet last year. So hopefully good things are to come in the next 3 meets I have scheduled.
