I was wondering what people knew about Westside Barbell lifting and how it translates into sprinting.  I heard that some track athletes have used it in the past and have seen results, but thats about as far as I know.  How would a program such as this translate for a sprinter? http://www.elitefts.com/ws4sb/WS4SB.pdf (mixed in with separate speed work twice a week) Also why do you like this method of training and why do you not like this method of training?

This one’s been discussed a ton around here. I’d recommend doing a search for westside barbell or wsbb. My thoughts are that it works but it isn’t the best option for track athletes. It’s difficult to periodize and match up with track training, and proper track training is ‘conjugate’ in its very nature so doing conjugate weight training isn’t really necessary.
