I’m trying to decide whether i should run XC or not.

I’m a 800/1600 runner and I prefer 800m

Would XC help a lot in 800 ?

I really don’t like to run long distance but I would do anything to improve 800m ! lol

If i decide not to run XC , that doesn’t mean that I’m gonna stay home and do nothing.

I WILL find a suitable program for off season and I know that i’m going to do follow

So what do you think?

XC ? or off season track practice? ( i believe off season track practice would contain

something like fartlek,tempo,intervals,speed&agility;training..etc )

It will definitely boost your aerobic capacity. Remember that long runs are always part of 800m training.
But it may hurt your raw speed specially if you leave any kind of speed training aside, yet the benefits outweight the negative consequences, more so in the mile.
