None of the USA guys came close to 8m (or Howe or Tomlinson).  What is up with that?  Random info I didn’t know: Quinley is coached by Mike Powell.

Saladino barely made it to the final.

Have you noticed the big amount of fouls, even in the heptathlon?

hey man..

just saw all this ...

Tomlinson only got to China about 2 days ago because he tore his calf at Crystal Palace and hasnt trained since that meet…so to be expected really..

The USA guys, i predicted that…unbelievable really, how they are so great in the USA but are not good anywhere else…happens quite often really…I waiting for the triple jump now, for the same thing to happen. Although i think Arrik Wilson is different and will do well…

Saladino is a really bad fouler and he did it again…i think if he hits just one jump however, he will win…Howe :( really dissapointing…he was just way off the pace all year…

My predictions, 1 - Saladino, 2 - rutherford, 3 - the greek

The path to mastery will have many bumps in the road. Never lose sight of the goal. 8 metres.

Here is Saladino´s qualification jump:

He said: “ I have to readjust my runup since the runway is extremelly fast. I will definitely improve.“

In order to view the final tomorrow I suggest to view either panamian or greek tv through streaming.

Nope.  USA triple jumpers flopped hard too.

It looks like the MVP for USATF is going to be USADA.

Your “tounge in cheek’ being reality would be damming for a number of prior year’s successful athletes…

I am so tired of reading / hearing about Asafa’s tests in China.  For that matter anyone stating that its a clean Games (when its because 99.9% are smart enough to have their systems clear by now)

Simple leveling of the field would be a World wide Thanksgiving urine sample.  Maybe USADA can get Macy’s to sponsor? or Marvel Entertainment could enter a balloon in the parade.  Say The Incredible Hulk with his shredded purple pants down around his ankles to remind the athletes of the world to give their sample…

Saddly, one of my most memorable moments of the Games will be the Vic Conte interview on CBC.

Yea but seriously I’m just trying to figure out what’s going on.  What do we have?  Shot put silver and heptath & 100m bronze?  Haven’t put a jumper close to finals yet.  Women 100m got swept.  Our best performing shot putter barely hits 69’.  Lagat can’t even make finals in the 1500.  Ladies can get past the first round in 800m..what gives?  I guess the events that include the numbers 4-0-0 in them will save us.
