So everyone says doing lots of long runs is bad. But what if someone is walking too much per day? Over long term, could that have any bad effects?

Or what if doing a speed day earlier in the day, and then lots and lots of walking later on in the day?

Don’t worry about stuff like this, you’ll be fine. Walking is a slow twitch activity, but it’s not taxing enough to recruit the fast twitch fibers and trigger conversion. Unless you’re walking 20-30 miles per day, I don’t think it’s going to make a difference.

So even on a speed day, lots of walking to the point of fatigue, isn’t a problem at all?

Well, if it’s overly fatiguing you should probably avoid it, but then again, walking shouldn’t be a fatiguing activity.
