How useful would 70-80m sprints be vs. just 50-60m or flying sprints for developing Max.V?

And when generally training in a cycle, is it best to have speed days in a certain cycle of 3 weeks for example, be focused on mainly one type of speed work, such as 60m sprints, or is it best to have a large variety and have every workout different? So doing ins and outs one day, 70m sprints another day, accel. work next workout, etc etc

I would try to keep things as consistent as possible so you don’t have to deal with adaptation soreness or having widely different stimuli on any given training session. It won’t make that big of a difference whether or not you do 60s or 80s or flies versus ins-and-outs, but if you change it all of the time, it will be difficult to find the sweet spot of optimal training volume and intensity (where you can easily unload or overload at given points depending on the goal(s)).

So you think it’s best to find the staple workouts and stick with them, ex. 6x60m, 6x flying 20m, 4x80m, etc etc.

Yes. Some variation in volume and/or intensity, but basically that is it. It is a lot easier to monitor performance that way.

I find i have ran better when my sessions are varied in a week (one accel dev. , one speed endurance, one max speed etc) then when i overdo the specific training session
