I’m excited to announce my participation in the upcoming 2014 Speed Summit. This will be my 3rd Speed Summit and it’s always an honor and a great learning experience to speak beside such knowledgable presenters. The Speed Summit is an annual summit of great minds in speed development ranging from coaches to researchers. Past presenters have included Tom Tellez, Loren Seagrave and Vince Anderson. ?This year’s lineup?will feature talks by coaches, running, and speed development experts: Brad Deweese, Jonathan Dugas, Peter Weyand and myself. I’ll be giving 2 talks. One on acceleration mechanics and the other on developing the physical capacities to sprint fast. Every speaker has a PhD and there’s a great balance of research and coaching experience. One of the best parts and things that really sets the Speed Summit’s apart is the interaction between speakers and attendees. We answer questions both individually and in a panel format. There are also opportunities to dine with the presenters throughout the weekend.
If you’re interested in attending, I can offer a discount code (“MIKE”) that’ll take $25 off of your registration cost. Furthermore, if you mail in your registration rather than use the online gateway you can save an additional $9.
