Felix blazing the 200m
The meet was well marketed and supported. The athlete’s and athlete support were treated like celebrities and the accommodations were very nice. The meet organization was top-notch and the performances were great too. Jeremy Wariner looked overpowering in the400m. He’s gonna have a tough time being the top U.S. 400m runner but I don’t have any doubt the kid will run sub 44 this season. Unfortunately for him, that might not even make the open team for the World Champs.Felix ran a great 200m, coming from behind to beat 100m champ AngelaWilliams who put up one heck of a fight. Bershawn Jackson ran a blistering 48 sumthin in the 400H. The performer of the meet though inmy opinion was John Godina. He continued his early season success beating his 6 year old PR in winning the men’s shot put over a stars tudded field. That’s pretty amazing when you think of how long the guy has been at the top of the heap in his event. Did I mention he’s a regular recipient of HPC biomechanical reports 😀
