Recent research states that optimal recovery is enhanced through adequate nutrition. The ratio of carbohydrates to protein is best when 4:1 and also consumed within the first 15 minutes of the workout, race, lift, etc. While this is not an add for Accelerade, they have done a marvelous job at making a delicious and consumable drink that has this ratio. Yet, that much science in a sports drink makes the price somewhat expensive if you want to drink it all the time.
This is where the mad scientist in me comes out. I decided to experiment last night with two easy forms of carbohydrates and proteins. Powdered Gatorade and dried Milk. So here is the recipe I concocted with my undergraduate math degree.
The result, as you can tell by the title, was foamy grossness. My roommates thoroughly enjoyed this experiment and loved the faces I made during the consumption process. As with all experiments, if at first you don’t succeed, make more foamy grossness.
