I will be speaking for roughly 3 hours in Utah on my experiences with injuries and what I believe to work and know what fails to work. I have been very lucky to work with some great athletes and some great therapists so my hope is that this will be a great way to share to some of the medical students the coaching perspective of things so that a new generation of doctors can understand the demands of sport. The seminar is just one day and I am spending less than 24 hours in Salt Lake City. What is great about this seminar is that I will review research and the practical side of things so that we have a balance between theory and reality. Here is what I will review:
- Understanding the Spinal Engine Theory
- Current Issues in Soft Tissue Therapy
- Investigating Central Fatigue
- The Biomechanics of Injury
- Regeneration in High Performance Sport
- Advanced Training Theory
For those wishing to get a copy of notes feel free to email me. The seminar is February 26th from 12-3pm. My long term goal is to help Universities get merge education with sports medicine and coaches so that the union can work better together. Check out this PDF for more info.
