I’ve had a forced hiatus from the site and blogging due to work but I wanted to pick up where I left off in the series of how you can make ET better. In my first installment I asked for you to use your real names in hopes of reducing internet warriors and fostering a community. This installment is going to be a little more straight forward and obvious. If you’re a lurker, and I know there are tons of you, PLEASE, participate in the discussion. If you have something to say, say it. I think this site’s success is largely due to its active and intelligent community. We’re really only at the tip of the iceberg though. Share ideas, ask questions, and provide suggestions that might help another person. I’m always amazed by the people who’s first post mentions they are a long time lurker, didn’t feel like they had anything to offer, and then throws out some knockout information. If you don’t have suggestions…ask a question. Questions spur information sharing and debate and allow others who may be more qualified to take the discussion in new and exciting avenues. Any site with active readers and participators is going to grow stronger.
