I have really enjoyed watching the World Championships this year. The first time in many years I have actually watched the majority of the coverage. The shots of the action have been super, unfortunately we have to listen to the endless drivel from Dwight Stones and Ato Bolden. Bolden would be OK if he would cut the verbiage down by about 75% and just let us enjoy the action. Dwight Stones is another story, they need to get rid of him. I wonder if he is watching the same meet as the rest of us. Dwight just figured out that the throwing circles are small and those are big people, so thats all he talks about. Where have you been Dwight? There has always been very big people in the throws and the size of the throwing circles has not changed in at least 100 years. And Dwight we really don’t care than you and Jan Johnson were teammates in the 72 Olympics. I am more interested in hearing about Jan’s tireless work teaching, coaching and promoting the Pole Vault. We never were given any idea of how fast they were running the second five thousand in the men’s 10,000, it was smoking! I wish they would get some articulate peple who know what is going on and could present the sport in a manner that informs and entertains. Track & Field is the greatest sport in the world, the mother of all sports, honor it!
