With complaints of training kids with sport specific training like adults from coaching blogs, I wonder why the same efforts of inquiring about the training of adult athletes like babies? Is Pavel Kolar teaching bounding and designing conditioning programs? No. Why are Performance Enhancement Coaches so focused on DNS and other exotic rehabilitation methods? Imagine if next to an athletic trainers’s table you saw Bondarchuk graphs but they struggled to evaluate a basic injury? While it’s true that the coach needs to know more as their roles are so important, how do we know people are doing a good job with the average job? Often the new wave pseudo rehab methodology is written in prose and not numbers and exercises are often isolated and slow, with low forces, making success pretty much guaranteed. Those that gravitate to the rehab methodology often do so because the exotic hides in the obscure, where comparison is nearly impossible.
