I have never done CrossFit, as it’s likely to be a little chaos inside GPP. So long as things are safe, what is the big deal? When programs run by interns that are cookie cutter for youth athletes exist, why are people attacking programs designed for mainly adults? CrossFit is here to stay, since the business model is perfect for a climate of uncertainty and change. My hope is that health and fitness training merges and evolves with more sport science in the future. Working out without periodization is not evil, but without the human side, it’s often very empty.
