After reading an article from Tom Myers, it was interesting to see the illustrations of stick figures or the templates on paper from Keats Snideman to evaluate posture. Posture is part of the training process and some people get carried away, but posture can be measured. A simple solution to rapidly capture basic posture is to use the PostureScreen app by Posture Co. The app is a good quick and dirty way to capturing body alignment in 2-D and is great to show improvement over the years when working with an athlete. It is not 3-D as some very powerful medical options such as the one sold by Contemplas really drill down alignment. Still, I like the app and it’s good for teams doing annual assessments.
