What is interesting is that now photos of injuries are showing up on twitter. One company currently is focusing on creating BI metrics on inflammation rates and other valuable scoring methods. Now with MSK US (ultrasound imaging for sports injury) and Elastography, it is going to be another space rush to see who can get people faster and more complete from injury. With Platelet-rich plasma techniques showing poor results and tool based therapies having slower repair rates than EMS and conventional manual therapy, are we advancing or just getting too fancy? I am excited to see what happens this year as more and more athletes are sharing injury updates via twitter, making Fantasy Football and owners scrambling to make adjustments.
