I was sent Jim’s blog post and requested a comment about his observations on the RFESS debate. Obviously people are eager to get more heat on the Death to Squat discussions and that is fine but the real point is it doesn’t matter without evidence. I agree with Mike Boyle and Jim Wendler and see that they are not mutually exclusive. The better question is Charles Poliquin correct about heavy deep squats being a sign of a healthy athlete? When you stop doing things because they hurt from injury, you don’t solve the problem you work around it. That’s find if they are forever damaged goods, but fixing the underlying issue prevents you from painting oneself into a corner if you can. When you start giving up on movements soon you don’t’ have any more movements to choose from.
