We are not training our torso we are doing anti-extension stability work for our core! It’s not a lunge or squat exercise it’s anti-collapsing training (can’t take credit for that joke). I do think it’s import to classify things in detail to better see relationships, but rebranding things to the point it’s as exciting as the release of a Harry Potter book is a little over the top. When I was in my early 20s I was told by coaches to take a piece of paper and take all your workouts and create classifications like what you see in Biology. This allows a better understanding of the differences and the pros and cons of adaptation and administration of training. I think it’s important to include the history behind the intent of the training so people can relate more to it, not just cut out the people involved.
