No need for much of a title here for this blog post. Dr. Milan Coh is an unheralded expert on kinematic and kinetic data of elite athletes. I am a huge fan of his work because he not only drills down to wonderful key points, but he actually tests elite athletes such as Cathy Freeman and Colin Jackson. Just go to Google Scholar and download his PDFs and you can see some interesting conclusions. Currently I am interested in the information regarding the demands of pre-activation of foot strike, as sufficient time is needed to get the foot prepared stiffness wise. Slovenia is sort of a hidden gem with regards to great technologies and sport science, and I am looking forward to doing a published study on block starts and EMG profiles of elite sprinters. As technology develops, we will able to fine tune the art of coaching by measuring how great coaches get results instead of attacking their lack of familiarity with sport sciences.
