After much reading and research one interview with Dan Pfaff really stuck with me. He discussed how he always remembered as a child the best athletes had superb general strength. Coach Pfaff mentioned these athletes had the ability to do push ups and pull ups for days. I believe all athletes should spend time training to improve general strength even if for a short time and/or a restoration phase.
