I was very impressed with the case study of Jose Fernandez on foam rolling. His landmark study on how TMG (Tensiomyography) can measure the effects of foam rolling methods was a great start in seeing how neuromuscular interactions help or hinder athletes. I personally believing that manual therapy and root problem solving helps athletes the best, but not everyone has access to world class therapy. I strongly suggest reading his blog as it addresses good questions of what specifically foam rolling is doing physiologically. Jose will be presenting on Advanced Athlete Monitoring in Boston and is a consultant for professional soccer and National organizations in elite sport. He and an array of great presenters will be offering the very best education at the BSMPG May 19-20th. You can sign up here.
