The most basic and perhaps most important metric is speed of athletes. Yet, when we talk speed development I hear exercises and philosophies versus data on training with accurate information. I don’t have many answers besides suggesting materials from federations or master coaches that prove it, so I decided to write this article for FreelapUSA. How fast can Usain Bolt run the 40 yard dash? has exploded on the web thanks to social media, and the great result is people are realizing you need to time or you don’t have a leg to stand on. Sure hand time helps, but eventually electronic timing will be necessary at higher levels looking to get a accurate indication of what is working. Enjoy!
