from what I remeber we did lots of flying 20s, lots of max V work, though that wasn't speed endurance. I remember #x80s with 8 min recovery, #x75s with 7min recovery….stuff like that, Volume usually between 350 and 500 I guess. When the weather was crappy(not possitive weather this was outdoor or indoor) we would set up runways and crash pads and do stuff like #(2x60m) into pad with like 1/2 a minute rest between rep and full recovery between sets(I guess this one is more like a 120 workout than a 60 workout because of the rest). Its funny, I have a hard time remembering the specifics of the workouts, but I'll never forget the reletive shortness of the intervals. The fact that I hadn't trained doing anything long always made me more nervous going into 400s.
interesting setup, i seem to had success with old school training outdoor – more int tempo if u will.
