The point of the workout is not to cover the most ground in the least amount of time.
THIS IS SO FUCKING OBVIOUS. IF I COULD COVER AS MUCH GROUND THIS WAY THEN YOU’D SEE MARATHONERS WALKING MID-RACE! SO A SESSION OF SPRINTS WITH WALKBACK RECOVERY WOULD BE FOR NOTHING BECAUSE YOU WOULD ESSENTIALLY BE GOING NOWHERE.
You honestly have no clue and to me you are just a joke. My goal is going sub1:50 next spring, thanks for the motivation. You should petition the NCAA, man you’re awesome. I ran 2:12 in junior high, I’m not bragging, just telling. Hell I wasn’t even the fastest on my team with that.
An easier track workout of mine is 8×400 @60 rest 90. Please come train with me. I’m in Peoria, IL.
Freak, maybe you misread, but I do the 150 in about 25-27 seconds, decelerate, walk a little bit and start again. You’d be suprised how fast the rest goes. You should try it sometime. The intensity is well below 75% because I’m only covering 150m (75% of 200m) in a time I could easily cover 200m.
I apologize to Mike and other members, I don’t mean to be a dick, but he’s trying to incite me, and personally attacking the way I train, which I feel very defensive of. If I didn’t care so much about how I train I wouldn’t spend time on boards like this.
