The workout wasn't bad. As always, it took me a minute to get going on the 30's and by the time the Fly20's came around I was ready to go. However, I probably need to drop the volume to only 2-3 reps as my 3rd rep was my best, my 1st 2 were so-so and my last was kind of crappy.
I'm getting a little down because my left hamstring is bothering me, as of Saturday after the meet, and I don't know why. ❓ I stretch a lot, take pretty good care of myself (save the diet at the moment), take my ZMA now and my hammie is still a bit bothersome. I can run at good speed and such, but when I'm done I feel it and it doesn't feel good.
I'm also a bit worried about the way I started off the season. My LA tolerance is so poor and yet I'm so confused as to how to attack it because now I'm getting conflicting info to what I've already heard/"know".
The worst part about today is that I was only going on about 5 hours of sleep since we had company over last night that didn't leave until late so that was crappy and then I had to get up early to help my mom at the gym. I was falling asleep in class today and I hate doing that because it is kind of disrespectful, yet after I explained to my teacher why I was tired he understood and was cool with it (ex-track runner himself and his kid's one, too). Either way, I hate the feeling of falling back asleep at 10:30 in the morning just before going to practice for no good reason at all.
Otherwise, as for the workout, it was pretty good. I ran the 30's faster than I expected, but I still need work on the flying sprints since I still feel the need to accelerate even after the 30m fly zone. I don't feel I'm at top speed yet and then I kind of just make myself relax and maintain what I have. I'm thinking of extending my fly zone to 40m and then maintaining for 20m, this way I KNOW I'm at top-speed by then.
Oh my, so tired. :yawn: I have a job interview in a bit, plus homework and such then I'm going to rest and go to bed at a decent time.
